Hey everybody,

I'm actually a Tampa Bay Rays fan living in New Jersey(don't ask), but I decided to adopt a National League team to follow somewhat closely this year. It came down to the Giants and Diamondbacks, and I decided I want to actually watch a team that will score runs, so here I am. And by the way, the whole 1998 expansion team thing didn't actually hit me until after I picked Arizona. The Upton brothers connection was a deciding factor, though.

Aaaaanyway, this forum seemed like a good place to start, and I've also been half-heartedly checking AZSnakePit. Any other sites/blogs you guys would recommend?

Welcome. Good choice (b/w Giants and Dbacks)

There's dbacks.com
Steve's blog http://taoofsteve.mlblogs.com/
Also, http://www.azcentral.com/sports/diamondbacks/
Nick's blog http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/NickPiecoro/

That should keep you informed
Of course, we link most of these sites here

Welcome...

You've arrived at the proper places... Most other Dbacks boards can be avoided for your own safety and sanity.

This is very true. Almost everytime I've found something intriguing out there about the Diamondbacks, it turns out to already have been linked (often with interesting commentary or follow-up heated discussion) here or at the SnakePit (or both). Really, I don't even usually take the time to check the other places on my own unless I'm having a week of unusual amounts of either free time or procrastination.

But Imperialism32, please can I ask about being a Rays fan in NJ even though you said not to? I'm assuming it's got to be more interesting than "I used to live in St. Pete but had to move to New Jersey" or something? (That's basically why I'm a Diamondbacks fan in Boston...though I am also a fan of the local team and looking forward to seeing them play your guys again in a few short weeks.)

Hello, I am a diamondbacks fan living in the Chicago area (I actually registered on here last season under a different name but could never log in), having relocated a few years ago from Tempe. At least I can watch all the games on MLBTV, except when we play the Cubs and I get to listen to Brenly (who is very high on the DBacks when he broadcasts).

Hey guys, Iím a misplaced Díbacks fan from Connecticut (right outside of New Haven if you guys are familiar with the area). I have been a fan since the beginning and I am surrounded by Mets, Red Sox, and Yankees fans who annoy the hell out of me by telling me about their teamsí perpetual greatness. Iíve been lurking since last summer and I signed up back in November but never got around to posting. I have more time on my hands now and decided it would be a good time to introduce myself. I would also like to say that you guys are all great and I want to thank you all because I have learned so much more about the game while reading this board.

Welcome to the Bullpen!

Unfortunately, thanks to your screen name, I have the title song to the James Bond movie of the same name running through my head now... Where did I put my hammer?

After all this, you still somehow made the right choice (so far).

Good thing you didn't choose for winning games.

New guy here, from Kansas. I'm actually a Royals fan, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming series, I think we're going to see some really good pitching with the match-ups.

I rooted strongly for the DBacks in '01, and A.J. Hinch use to catch for us. I'm really liking the Buckner-for-Callaspo deal, although I didn't like it at the time.

Welcome to the DBBP! It'll be interesting to hear from you doing the series between the Diamondbacks and the Royals. I'm hoping we don't get our butts kicked too, you'll pardon the phrase, royally... Wink Like you, I think the pitching match-ups will be very interesting. Here's hoping for a Haren-Greinke duel! Very Happy

Hi all. Jillian turned me on to this site, and I am very grateful for her for that. Since I just recently relocated to California, I have few people to talk D'backs with. This should fill the void.
