Enough is enough...

Someone else can suffer Cubs futility after this season

Piniella announces retirement at the end of the year.

Hearing the following from what I believe is a reliable source:

The Cubs GM says Sandberg needs "more seasoning" before he's ready- In order the Cubs top three choices are 1) Ray Knight 2) Buck Showalter 3) Bob Melvin. The Cubs would also like to talk with Davey Lopes and Larry Bowa.

I want to see Melvin get another shot at managing. I am sure I am in the minority, on that though.

Just heard an interview the other day with Bob Brenly (sorry can't remember where) and he mentioned he would like to manage again... Might be a fit there as well as he already knows the personal being the color analyst for the past years.
