The term organizational advocacy offers a new way to look at the interaction between people and their organizations.

Well we the people say FAIL!

The last two months of 2008, All of 2009, and the first month and half of 2010 I have the DBACKS with a record of 110-141. Might be of a game or two off but thats what I have .438 baseball in the NL West which is one of the worst in baseball.

Thats a long time with bad baseball and I have no hope that it will get any better the rest of this season.

Its time to blow this sucker up. Let the fire sale begin.

A couple questions.

1. Who is untouchable?

2. How many years to get to .500 baseball?

3. How many years to contend again? Some will say .500 is contending but Im not talking about one round and out Im talking about playing deep into the playoffs?

If the bullpen was reliable, we'd be fighting for 1st place. Don't kill a fly with a cannon. Fix the bullpen and watch the rest fall in place.

Bats have quit now and I have no faith long term in our rotation #4 and 5 spots.

Were not going anywhere and the window we has closed.

I say BLOW IT UP. BLOW IT UP REAL GOOD!

If this team going to suck like the way its been, might as well eye for the #1 draft pick of 2011. I have no untouchables; Webb is as good as gone, even if he gets to pitch this season, he'll be gone in the offseason. Dbacks don't deserve Haren, he deserves better, Upton is the one I MIGHT consider to stay with as he can get a higher trade value later on.

I'd say Haren and Upton are the only truly untouchable pieces. I wouldn't give up Reynolds or Kennedy unless someone offered up a whole lot. Just my opinion.

This. We have 133 games left to play, there's plenty of time left to improve and make a run. Padres and Giants are at the top of the division on borrowed time. We need to improve and get good before the Rockies and Dodgers get going.

There's a large amount of truth to what you're saying though, Shadow. So to battle this feeling of incipient disaster the D-backs must do something. Sign Juan Cruz and DFA one of the H&H boys, then fire a coach. This won't improve us materially, but we're one swift kick in the ass away from firing on all cylinders.

In all seriousness i dont think its quite that bad but i dont think we can expect any changes to the situation any time soon with Hinch&Byrnes just hoping to 'ride' this 'rough patch'. Even if they thought they should make changes to the Bullpen i dont see how this could be achieved this season as the Bullpen needs a complete overhaul.

I don't think we should abandon ship just yet.

Reasons to be optimistic:

-Justin Upton has gotten off to a slow start, but he did last year too. He's too talented for him to not turn it around.
-Adam LaRoche has had a good start to the season, and history suggests he's going to get hotter as the season progresses. (I think it's because he's playing for a bigger contract)
-CY has turned it around, on offense and defense. He looks like a completely different player from last season.
-Kelly Johnson has been not just a great pick up, but an awesome one, at a bargain price too. Oh and he's under control for another season.
-Stephen Drew has returned to his 2008 level of play, in fact, he's been better (871 OPS this year Vs 836 OPS In 2008)
-Thanks to Chris Snyder, losing Miguel Montero for 6-8 weeks hasn't been that big of a deal. He's hit and he's proven that he's healthy, and he's raised his trade stock
-Ian Kennedy has been surprisingly good
-Rodrigo Lopez has been surprisingly good pick up for being picked up from the trash heap
-Edwin Jackson and Dan Haren haven't gotten off to great starts, but history suggests they'll turn it around
-Brandon Webb might be back on a pitcher's mound as soon as next week!

Reasons to be pessimistic
-The bullpen sucks, and is the worst in the league!
-Haven't gotten much production from the 5th starter position
-Edwin Jackson hasn't been very good
-Dan Haren hasn't been as good as we expect from him

I just think there's too many positives and it's too just too early in the season to blow the team up yet. Yeah, if we're way out of it around the trade deadline, we should considering makes some moves. I think we should definitely trade Chris Snyder either way.

My bad I got this from the DBacks website board. I guess DH might have sent this to a facebook friend for his facebook page.

Like I said Im not a facebook guy so not sure how it all works. Confused

Trade Rumors thinks we might be sellers too.

LaRoche may join Brandon Webb, Chris Snyder, and Chad Qualls on the trade market if the D'Backs become sellers later this year.

The recent offensive rut has not been a constant this season. The pitching, on the other hand, has been. Focus on fixing one now and the other will balance, and the outcomes start coming out more favorably.
