Thanks. Right now I'm going back to the gym and focusing on strength (higher weight, lower reps), especially when it comes to legs and chest. The pushups and bodyweight squats were great for endurance and "toning", but I lost a little pure strength. I think I might do plyo today though; I'm going to do kind of a hybrid from here on out I think.

One week to go. Lots leaner and huge strength gains all over the place.

For reals? Strength gains? That's it, I'm doing it...

Way to go man!

The strength gains were the biggest surprise. I thought I would lose strength, especially since I have lost more weight than I really wanted to. I have seen about a 25% jump in my bench press and more than that on my standing curl. I have still been lifting weights through the program, but I think the program is what is responsible.

The second month of the program is just brutal and really tests your body.

Phase 2 complete, moving on to Phase 3 tomorrow. I'm feeling great. Still not much of a weight change but very noticeable changes in my body, exchanging fat for muscle.

I finally was able to make it through the Warrior 3 and right angle sections of the yoga routine without stopping.

Congrats, Matt.

I finished Insanity Sunday. I ended up losing about 5 pounds, about 25% of my body fat, and increasing measured strength 25 to 30%. I see some very obvious changes in body composition. I am very happy with the program.

Now what to do next...

That's huge. The Warrior 3/Right Angle pose torture session I was never able to do without coming out of the form a few times, so props.

If you fail, destroy any evidence you tried.

I definitely recommend a "week zero" (or even two). When I started I had been lifting regularly and still had a hard time adjusting to the intensity.

Well, since I got out of the Air Force I've gained 15 pounds. I'm going to put an end to the shenanigans and I'm going to start P90X back up. Off to day one...let the pain begin! Very Happy

Since I've been on the lean program, I've never had to do plyo. I decided to give it a shot. I didn't go all out because I needed to get a feel for the workout but damn that is pretty hardcore.

I only have 1 week left in the program until the final recovery week. I'll swap CardioX for Plyo in the last week. I can't believe I've almost made it.

Are you guys doing real pull ups or do you use a chair? I need to use a chair. When I started out, I could only do 1.5 pull ups. I can do 5 at a time now but when I do the workouts I still need the chair because you do like 10 sets of them. I think you get a lot more out of it by doing 10-12 assisted pullups than 4 regular ones.
