Yep 3-2 to start the season. LSU didnt do their job and I dont think to many people saw what was going to happen to the Sooners. Shocked

Another reason to love College ball over the NFL each and every week the games mean something.

WOW what a great game. You all let me know if the NFL has a game like that in week one.

Broke two of my betting rules tonight and lost. Just stupid on my part.

Rule #264 never bet on a game just because its on TV.

Rule #165 never bet on a rivalry game anything can happen and like tonight it will be bad.

Oh ya the NFL doesnt have Erin Andrews either Wink

Wow, great game with Miami winning it. Good QB play coupled with porous D's makes for fun watching.

So, did anyone else notice that there was at least 1 sec left on the clock on that last play...it was only 3rd down?? There should have been another play!

3-3 after week one. Time to step things up this saturday Wink

Here are the picks.

North Carolina -4 points at UConn
Butch Davis has the better team here.

Georgia -7 points vs S. Carolina
The Cocks might not score in this one. The Dawgs roll.

BYU -18 points at Tulane
The Oklahoma game was no fluke and Tulane is still a bad team.

Texas -32 points at Wyoming
Why are the Longhorns going to Laramie? To get me a blowout win!

Washington -21 points vs Idaho
Huskies have lost a bunch in a row but looked good last week against LSU and Idaho is a bad team. Washington takes out that losing streak right here in a blowout.

Boston College -21 points vs Kent
BC best catholic team in college football Laughing

Kansas -13 at UTEP
Rock chalk Jayhawk gets me a big win in old el paso.

Boise State -37 points vs Miami OH
Miami OH might be the worst team in college football this year. Boise rolls on the blue turf.

Tulsa -17 1/2 points at New Mexico
Tulsa won me $ in week one and the Lobos are a bad team with a new coach and system and the wrong players to run it. TAM beat them bad last week and Tulsa is a better team than the Aggies.

Forcier is a stud.

Reporter: "How nervous were you during the last drive"
Forier: "I dont get nervous. I had plenty of time."

Damn.

Went 5-4 this weekend with my bets. Now 8-6 on the year and showing a small profit.

Just now watching the tape of the Michigan game second half. We played so bad in the first half but were only three down.

Tate is a FORCE Forcier looks good.

For some reason my Buckeye friends are not answering their phones tonight Laughing

Minnesota opened their new stadium with a win over Air Force. The place is an absolute gem. Anything outdoors on campus would beat the pants off the Metrodome, but this place is awesome. 85 year old Ray Christensen, the voice of the Gophers for about 50 years, came out of retirement and called part of the game today - think Vin Scully. And Bud Grant, aka god in MN, openly wept during the pre-game ceremony.

Some great games today. Oregon just beat Purdue to cap off a great day.

Cashed my Dodger wins total ticket and have the entire bankroll on this weeks game of the year.

Every now and then a game comes along and you have to go for it. That game is next saturday.

Cal -14 at Minny.

Now before you all go "Not so fast my friend dont you remember that early start game vs MD last year for Cal?"

YES I DO and so do the coaches. They will not let the players forget about it this week.

Also Minny is not that good of a team picked to finish 8th in a very bad Big 10 conference.

Cal on the other hand is a top 10 team. They have been known to run up the score. Check last two games. Best is a beast and will run all day. Their QB is looking good. They have team speed and speed kills.

The last time Minny played a team even close in talent to Cal was their bowl game vs Kansas in their bowl game last year and they lost that one by 21.

Cal is 2-0 vs the spread this year. Minny is 1-1.

Cal avg 55 points a game Minny just 21 vs Syracuse and Air Force.

These two teams played in '06 and Cal won 42-17.

Cal has played 5 Big 10 teams in the past 7 years and is 5-0 avg victory margin 16 points.

I have seen both teams play and given them the eye test. No way the Gophers can play with these guys. I looked at the game before the lines came out and knew I was going to bet Cal anything under -30. I saw -14 and had to bet it all.

Best of all I get to watch all of this game before going to work at the Ballpark on saturday Wink

Cal scores two TD's in the first few minutes of game to go up 14-0. Going to be a blowout right. WRONG.

Minny kid makes a catch for a TD and gets ROCKED. Great catch. Crowd gets into game and here we go. 21-21 in the 4th.

Ive always said college football is a game on emotion and thats why they call them upsets.

Damn!

Washington 16 USC 13

WOW! I can't believe they've been upset hugely 3 years in a row. Somebody please step up and win the Pac-10 besides USC.

Cal wins by 14. Gophers played a good game, but turnovers were the difference. That Cal RB is a good one. Not sure how fast he is, so not sure how good of a pro he'll be, but he shows great patience on his runs.
