Who hit Zito worse today - the Dodgers or the SF Press???

Assuming Zito starts 33 games this year as he did last season, he only charged the Giants ownership team $303,030 for his 5 IP and 4 ER's surrendered yesterday.

DFL.

With Vizquel out at SS they started the season with a kid at short who hit .220 in A ball last year.

The Giants are awful. I can't see any scenario where they finish anything but the bottom of the NL West...and quite possibly the bottom of the entire league. They have no one in their lineup that scares you and they're depending on young starters to find them wins. Winn batting cleanup? Molina batting 3rd? Lowry is now hurt. It is going to be a LONG year for them.

Mil 7, SF 0; Sheets beats Zito
Quote:

Zito (0-2) complained about the lack of velocity on his fastball in his opening start, and while he managed to throw it as hard as 87 mph against Milwaukee, he didn't get any help from his defense, which committed two errors that led to runs.

Shocked

The Giants are soooooo screwed...

Probably that the Tigers (a heavy favorite to at least make the playoffs) have yet to win a game this season. Laughing

I figure I've got enough vested in the Giants as it is. But really to me this is a win-win bet as watching Giants suffer this year will be worth it.

Lincecum I saw this kid pitch last night and he was amazing.

Giants had a promo going for every K he had take a dollar off a bleacher seat when he pitches at home on Tuesday. Cool promo and I think he had like 9 K's.

Kid has alot of emotion was going crazy in the dugout when the bullpen came in. He also looks like a 12 year old paperboy but boy oh boy can he pitch!

When Lincecum walked-off the mound after getting out of a bases-loaded jam last night you could see him mouthing the words, "Shut up. Everyone just shut up." The kid talks to himself a lot. Shocked

If Saito holds the lead against the Rookies, the Gints will be 2nd in the NL west after tonight.

Go figure
