carlos delgado will be a FA after 08' ,after a disappointing 07' it will be interesting how he bounces back, delgado would look good in sedona red over at first base

and pigs will fly tomorrow night.

there's about as much of a chance as the dbacks spending double digits in the millions for an aging first baseman who is in an open market as there is that Ceannsaich marries Levski.

Yep, and What about Conor Jackson - who will probably be a better player than Delgado in 08 and after 08 - even without considering he will make a pile less $.

For the circumstances that the Diamondbacks are in, spending limits and team chemistry regarded, I would take a young Conor Jackson over an old Carlos Delgado any day.

And no Levski, that does not mean I have joined the CoJack bandwagon Rolling Eyes

Just a question... how the heck is this a "Fantasy Thought" Question

Im curious what situation would be better for a team to have delgado. Dude is 37 in June. Edit - make that 36 - bad math - but my point stands.

The answer to that might be the New York Yankees who enjoy taking on well traveled veterans who can hit for power and barely field. That would also bode well with the Yankees team philosophy of spend big now, belly-ache over the wasted money later, then forget about how much money you just lost the next day.

Ok. WHat is a situation where the team would benefit from Delgado over Jackson? You named one, and it sounds like you think that wouldnt end up well. I agree.

Um... maybe the Chicago Cubs who enjoy losing more than they do winning? Laughing

My dog dropped a solid dookie earlier tonight. I have it under control for three more years but am thinking of non-tendering it soon. In my opinion, it's a far better option that Deglado. Moorad, call me.

See, Mr. Ed Wade, if you didn't focus on collecting useless middle relievers for your wild orgies, your teams would actually win something occasionally...
