Nothing. Other than Im sure he had a good read... As well he should.

Damn right he should. I understand throwing the towel in for a season. This team is throwing in the towel for the next 2-3 seasons. Dipoto was on KTAR this morning and when they asked him if the payroll saved by trading Haren would be used on players or just be money saved. He dodged the question.

Screw Hall and the owners.

Careful, Prosopis might tell you to cut it out.

Why the dig?

Two former Dbacks in the lineup. At least Bucholz got out of it.

Haren just took a line drive off his pitching hand. Trainers are out to look at him. He looks ok, moving his hand away, but they are taking him out of the game anyway.

edit- I meant anyway not away.

Uhoh. Haren hit by Youkilis liner. Leaving game in top of 5th. Think it got him in the forearm. Angels refuse to show replay on jumbotron.

He was moving his hand and was able to grasp his glove. It probably looked worse than it is. I would say it will just be a contusion.

Kind of a typical outing of this year. 4.2 IP, 2 runs allowed, 7 hits and a HR. Not that well...

Angels announce Haren left game with a contusion on his right forearm. Examined by doc. Will be re-examined Tuesday.

And 8 K's against a good hitting Sox team, he made a few mistakes especially on Ortiz's homer but you can blame that on not having to pitch to a DH in 3 years.

Again - the Ks are pretty typical of this year as well.

So a recap dating back to Dec 14, 2007 til today in deals w Haren involved

Arizona gets: 2010 MLB Stats - (MiLB Stats)

Scott Schoenweis - left via FA in 2009
Patrick Corbin - Assigned to Visalia A+ (13-3 3.87 ERA in 118.2)
Rafael Rodriguez - 4.50 ERA in 2 IP
Joe Saunders - 6-10 4.62 ERA in 120.2 IP
Tyler Scaggs - Potential PTBNL

Arizona trades away:

Chris Carter - AAA (.244 23 HR 73 RBI)
Brett Anderson - 2-1 2.35 ERA in 30 IP in Oak
Aaron Cunningham - .320 1 HR 13 RBI for SD
Dana Eveland - 3-5 6.79 ERA in 54.1 IP for TOR and PIT
Carlos Gonzalez - .303 17 HR 62 RBI for COL
Greg Smith - 1-2 6.23 ERA in 39 IP for COL
Dan Haren - Debut w/ LAA tonight

This latest trade is an epically bad trade. I cannot even begin to understand why the front office decided to pull the trigger when they got NOTHING in return.

Chris Carter a career DH.
Aaron Cunningham - see me after he gets 600 ML AB's
Dana Eveland - garbage
Greg Smith - AAAA SP

There's alot of innings on Haren's arm the past 5+ seasons, maybe that's why he seemed very hitable this season. Could it be that the Dbacks timing in trading Haren is great? Only time will tell.
