Roger Federer is an absolute machine, perhaps the greatest player of all time....but he's kinda hard to really root for, so I've been primarily rooting for Rafael Nadal ever since the 2005 French Open (first saw him during that even when I was in Paris)... but now there's a "new" very funny (and talented) guy on the circuit to root for, who even does impressions of other players: Novak Djokovic

Got up early to watch the French Open finals (began 6 AM Az time), and good thing... since this was over fast and early. Total domination by Rafael Nadal as he destroyed the #1 ranked player in the world--absolutely no contest. John McEnroe now calling Nadal the greatest clay court player of all time (and he saw and played Bjorn Borg).

Not a great tennis fan, but I'll usually follow Wimbledon when it's on. I did, however, watch that French final which was an awesome spectacle. I don't think I've ever seen one great player dominate another quite like that before. I completely agree with Federer being difficult to root for (though I don't know what exactly it is about him - I'd say his domination of the sport, yet I still love Tiger Woods).

Federer won first round easily in straight sets.... No surprise there.

Have liked Nadal's style ever since first seeing him in 2005 French Open, so rooting for him to get his first major on grass... will have to reschedule usual morning hike to watch this final.

A few years ago,She has visited in Korea for event match with Sharapova.
At first,Tennis fans were fully interested in watching Russian Beauty. However, As time goes by, people started to recognize Venus had great personality and she was very nice to fans . They fell in love with Venus. Very Happy

People said, they went to the match for watching Sharapova, they came home to be fan of Venus.

I'm happy for her.

Heavyweight match... Federer wins the next two on tie-breaks... 2-2 and going to deciding fifth set.

Awesome match... but another rain delay sucking the life outta the drama in final set, which is tied 2-2 on Federer's serve on deuce.

Starting next year, no rain delays since there will be a roof.

Epic championship. Greatest match I've ever seen... and I did see the oft cited Borg-McEnroe one.

Awesome match. I remember being mesmerized by the Borg-McEnroe battle of 18-16 match, but I was so young that I don't remember any details. Today's match was great and the 2 rain delays helped keep them both fresh. Better to see them both at their best than to have one of the two get winded at the end and have that be a major factor, although I don't know if either of these guys would have been winded.
