I wonder how Tucson people can use those with TEP shut down?

Ya it was Special K T Shirt night and they didnt have them. So they handed out vouchers. Same deal as with the Augie bobbleheads.

Fans were not too pleased.

Not the best of times for a major marketing blunder such as that... Shocked

Not delivering on the field... and not delivering off, as well?

Bad move.

What a year.

It was the bitterest of times, it was the worst of times; it was the year of apathy, it was the year of foolishness; it was the epoch of disbelief, it was the epoch of incredulity; it was the season of blunders, it was the season of darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the summer of despair; we had everything before us, and then we had nothing before us; we were all going to Chase, we were all going the other way.

It's unfortunate when this kind of crap happens, but it really isn't the Diamondbacks' fault. They have to get all these orders in extremely early in the calendar year -- sometime in January, I believe -- and have to hope that the promotions company can hit its deadlines and get all the pallets on ships that get to America in time for the giveaway date.

The issues, of course, are that 1) most of the teams use the same company, meaning the production line is constantly weighed down with work; and 2), that unpredictable things happen, such as the typhoon that utterly destroyed the factory during production of the Augie bobble heads.

I've heard of a few teams this year that have missed their giveaway dates... guess it's just an unlucky year.

On top of that, if the shirts are made in China, everything is late out of this country right now. There are massive labor shortages, up to 30% in the garment and footwear industries for example.

The combination of pent up buyer demand, an uptick in the economy and therefore a lot of orders, and a labor force that wants to move towards more service industry jobs......

a perfect storm for disaster. Delays are everywhere and epidemic. I've never seen anything like it in 30 years.

I gave mine to some kid. Just like the vouchers for the bobble head last year, Tucson gets bent over.

I'm sure if you hold on to those vouchers until the next time you visit the ballpark -- even if it is past the "claiming date(s)" -- customer services will be happy to help you redeem your giveaway.

And if I'm wrong, then that's something that should be corrected.

28% of Vendors in violation: In July 2008, a worker at a TGI Friday's at the ballpark was diagnosed with salmonella. When inspectors visited the restaurant, they issued two critical violations for improper employee hand-washing and not requiring employees to report illnesses.

Sadly, of the 4 major facilities in PHX, that's tied for the lowest percentage of vendors in violation... Shocked
