Wait, before you jump to the conclusion that I'm asking about your performance in bed, let me clarify; what I want to know is how long did your car battery last?

My car is 3 and half years old and I'm on my third battery already. The original battery that came with the car died after a year and 8 months. So I went to AutoZone and bought a Duralast and it died after a year and 9 months.

I don't think anyone would have thought that.

Then you didn't think about it much. Wink

My car battery lasted 4 years in my Mazda3. I changed it 4 months ago thinking it was dying, but the problem persisted. For all I know I could be using the same batter right now if I hadn't made that swap.

I haven't had to change a car battey in any car I have owned for at least 20 years. It sounds like something is going on in your car that is sucking the life out of batteries prematurely.

That is amazing. How long do you keep a car?
For the original post I think you do have something wrong. Go to Auto Zone and ask them to hook up their diagnostic tool to see if it picks something up.

From what I understand, the heat in Arizona causes the batteries to have a shortened life compared to other parts of the country. We average about 2-3 years with all of our cars for desert dwelling batteries.
