I swore I would never do this but I just opened an account. I sent an invite to some one from here but I dont know who. It was a real name and not the dbbp name. If you get an invite from John that is me.
Anyone else do this here? and if so how do I find you? That is if you want me to find you. Laughing

I suppose you could. I would stick to the mutual friends though. They are the ones that are more likely to know you Wink

Now I just need to somehow convince NJDBF to get a FB (and my friend Theresa).

Facebook is on the cusp of the big half-a-billion user mark, and the company is expected to officially announce its 500 millionth user sometime this week.

Facebook leads the Web with 540 billion unique visitors per month who, in turn, dish out 630 billion page views on the site. Facebook itself reaches 34.8 percent of all Internet users, with each visitor spending approximately 23 minutes on the site and visiting around 34 times per month.

Either 7% of the world's population is on Facebook or a lot of people have alt accounts.

I'm still not on and I still don't miss it. Glad others enjoy it, but I just don't want my info out there on the internet anymore than it probably already is. Not that I have anything to hide.

I think I've been able to alienate most of my family by continually posting political things on Facebook.

Mission Accomplished!

I actually had a (ultra-conservative) friend who didn't speak to me for six months because of some of the political things I posted on FB. Our relationship is built on sports, and we've learned not to talk politics if we want to keep the peace.

Semi-facebook related--now some posts linking this on my profile.

My sister has been blogging eloquently for about a year now and really finding her voice. Her specialty is in the personal memoir area... and she's been getting Editor's Picks at the Open Salon site for a while. Not without justification--her blogs are insightful, extremely description, and filled with humor. She's working towards getting published... and I have little doubt that this will happen in time.

I started blogging a bit there after she did (though no where as prolifically). We may have a new brother/sister team first time occurrence today. Both of us got picked simultaneously as "Editor's Picks" and have latest blogs on their front page (hers sparked a memory for me):
