5th Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The license was relevant to the investigation because it showed both the relationship and residency of the two women, he said.
Honorable discharge or not, if she wasn't violating South Dakota law, the Rapid City P.D. should have left it alone. From the article, she wasn't, they were just there on a warrant for her 'spousal unit'. From what I can tell, she was meeting all of the requirements, fair or not, on her end.
