On the evening of March 6, 2010, Leigh Ann Tonkinson was an innocent victim of a fatal car accident on Greenfield & Germann roads in Gilbert, Arizona. Leigh Ann left behind her husband, Greg, and 3 precious children: Caden, 10, Bailey, 6 and Malia, 4.
Shea and Jessica Hillenbrand's Marley Farms (www.marleyfarms.com) invites you and your family to a fundraising event which will benefit the family she has left behind. We are proud to share that this is a zero overhead event, which ensures that 100% of the donations from the day will go directly to this family.
Please join us on Saturday, May 8th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for a morning of family fun at Marley Farms. A donation of $10 per adult and $5 per child includes admission into Marley Farms' Petting Zoo. There will be a lot of great family activities available including Pony Rides and Bounce Houses. Most importantly, this is a time to show this amazing Gilbert family that their community is here to support and love them.
If you are unable to attend, but wish to make a donation to the family, please visit any Wells Fargo Bank and ask to donate to the "Leigh Ann Tonkinson Memorial Fund".
Mrs. TAP and I will be working this event. Please come on out with your kids and say hi. Marley Farms is located at 26601 S. Val Vista Drive in Gilbert. That's 1/2 mile south of Riggs Road on Val Vista Drive.
With more than 600 attendees throughout the morning, todayís event was a big success. Thanks to Shea and Jessica for hosting the fundraiser free of charge on their farm and for making themselves available throughout the morning. Everyone that worked the event volunteered their time and all of the food, auction items, and raffle items were donated. The mayor of Gilbert stopped by briefly to speak and two Gilbert firefighters donated their off-time along with a fire truck for children to explore. All of the various rescued animals on the farm were well-fed by the visiting kids, the ponies got lots of exercise with rides, and the bounce house didnít stop bouncing. Most importantly, Greg Tonkinson and his three young children, Caden, Bailey and Malia were there and felt the love and support from their community. Thanks also to those that mentioned to me in PMs your donations for the family at Wells Fargo. Your generosity is a blessing.
