Speed kills.

This is pretty disappointing.
I'm perfectly fine with people smoking pot.
Just don't smoke pot and then get in the car.
He really should get a much more severe punishment than he has so far.

Not by his use nor by the preferential celebrity treatment granted to him.

I agree with levski. If Timmy wants to sticky up his brain cells with TCH and burn out his lungs in the privacy of his own home (away from children), that's his business. However, if he chooses to do that and then drive a vehicle on a public road endangering the lives of everybody on that road, then he should be treated just like any other DUI offender.

More importent, How many people drive on painkillers? The pressures of having to get to work tend to override commen sense. I used to do it, but not any more. I ride my bike a lot LOL

Although the car may have smelled like pot it is an assumption that this was because he was smoking while driving. I'm sure what he had was very high quality and even low quality pot can make a car smell.

The article doesn't say anything about a field sobriety test. Was he given one or did the cop not feel it was necessary at the time?
