It was a good night in Reno--CY, Brandon Allen and John Hester were a combined 11/14 with 4 bb's, 11 runs scored and 9 rbi's. All of CY's 4 hits were singles, Allen and Hester each hit a home run.

Billy Buckner with another very strong outing tonight, going 8 IP, allowing 9hits and 2 ER, while walking only 1 and striking out 9.

I think it's safe to say that he is Max's replacement once the shut-down occurs.

Why not replacement for Petit?

Meanwhile, in the same game :
Eric Byrnes grounds out, second baseman Edwin Maysonet to first baseman John Gall.
Eric Byrnes pops out to first baseman John Gall in foul territory.

As one of my favorite lines from V for Vendetta goes, would you prefer a lie or the truth? Laughing

Ground out, Pop out, Pop out, and ran himself into an out; Just as good as he was before the DL stint. He's $11 million ready.

Has anyone gone to Moody Blues lately to check out Flipper's inventory?
I gather it would be something like this?

CY smacked a 2RBI HR earlier tonight.

Flipper also got an infield single a little bit later, scored as deflection by the SS to the 3B. So in his first 6 AB's he's grounded out to 2nd, popped out to 1st, popped out to 1st, singled and thrown out trying to stretch it, popped out to LF, and singled to SS/3B.

He's in mid-season form.

Leave him in limb -- er, RENO indefinitely...

Tell him he can't come back to the Diamondbacks until he's hitting as well as, oh, say, Chris Young has been hitting during CY's rehab assignment...

Once he's a free agent... hehehehehehe...
