The thought of the Giants competing in 2008 is startling.
Some would call it delusional.

The 2nd sentence seems more accurate. LOL

Unfortunately, either the Giants or Padres will get to draft Stephen Strasburg in June 2009. And that sucks big time for the Dbacks.

The Mariners may have something to say about that.

I do hope the Mariners implode and get the top pick next year

Watching some of the Red Sox-Phillies game on MLB-extra innings, the Sox announcers got a little dig in... One was describing Cole Hamels delivery and how it reminded him of Barry Zito. His partner pointed out that Hamels was having much more success than Zito in the NL... and was a LOT cheaper!

The sad thing right now, is watching the way the D-Backs and Giants are playing right now, the odds are on the D-Backs falling below the Giants by season's end.

The Giants called up Conor Gillaspie, their 2nd pick in the 2008 draft.
